Low or No Emission Grant Program. The Low-No Program supports the transition of the nation’s transit fleet to the lowest polluting and most energy efficient transit vehicles. Funds are for the purchase or lease of zero-emission and low-emission transit buses, including acquisition, construction, and leasing of required supporting facilities. The Buses and Bus Facilities Program assists in the financing of buses and bus facilities capital projects, including replacing, rehabilitating, purchasing or leasing buses or related equipment, and rehabilitating, purchasing, constructing or leasing bus-related facilities. The Funders Network- Partners for Places. A matching grant program that creates opportunities for cities and counties in the to improve communities by building partnerships between local government leaders, community-led groups, and place-based local or regional funders. Through the program, national funders invest in local projects to promote a healthy environment, a strong economy, and the well-being of all residents. The current focus is on equitable climate and green stormwater action in communities through collaborative partnerships. Funding availability: $25,000 to $75,000 for one-year projects. $75,000 to $150,000 for two-year projects. Information hereDeadline: April 13.

 

Reduction in Lead Exposure Via Drinking Water. To reduce lead in drinking water in disadvantaged communities through full lead service line replacements and/or treatment improvements or facility remediation in schools and child care facilities. Funding Availability: $20,000,000. Information hereDeadline April 19.

 

Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Funding. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to fund community violence (CV) technical assistance providers that can support and assist CDC’s CV funded communities in achieving the outcomes of the CV programmatic NOFO, Community Violence Prevention: Putting Communities First – Safer Communities and Saving Lives. Specifically, this training and technical assistance (TTA) will support communities in building local public health capacity for prevention and establishing a community-driven prevention system that works with community organizations, local communities and affected populations, and multisector partners to prevent violence. Successful applicants will have to demonstrate experience providing direct TA to communities including on the ground experience working with local communities and organizations doing CV prevention and intervention. The Skatepark Project. To help underserved communities create safe and inclusive public skateparks for youth. Only organizations seeking to build free, public, concrete skateparks in underserved communities may apply for a construction grant from The Skatepark Project. Multi-Sport CourtsDeveloped in response to the demands of kids, KABOOM! is introducing our newest playspace innovation: Multi-Sport Courts.  Sports courts help communities address a lack of play opportunities for older youth that no longer play on playgrounds. The interlocking tiles are easy to install and maintain. Sports courts provide communities with a wide variety of different sports using the same space— such as basketball, hockey, volleyball and many other games. Information hereDeadline: Open.
